The Edge of the Moors

Wow, they have some beautiful country over there!

Walking with a Smacked Pentax

Just a quick post – I was going through some shots I took last autumn and I came across this one. When people think of autumn one of the things which springs to mind are the trees turning golden and losing their leaves.

But on the moors the heather turns a vibrant purple in a stunning end of year show. I see the moors from my windows and in autumn they are gorgeous with swathes of deep purple whch can be seen for miles and miles.

This one is shot on the old track on the edge of Addingham moor looking towards Ilkley and my home in the valley bottom beyond. Best viewed large.
