My brother snapped this photo of a smoke cloud rising from a fire in the Deep Creek Mountains in southeastern Idaho. It looks almost like a bird with downy gray feathers and white plumage and tail running along the ground: A phoenix rising from the ashes of the small range fire that spawned it.
Ironically, the bottoms and insides of these rain clouds resemble burning embers, ignited by the defiant sun as it descended behind the Bitterroot Mountains.

I came across a post from another site, theseeds4life, (<– here is the link) and thought it well worth sharing. We all have times when it seems none of our efforts pan out, no matter what or how hard we try, or how high our hopes when we first set out. This post supplies much-needed encouragement for such times.
